ANCESTRY IS HERE!
Looking for your history?
Now you have another option. Ancestry.com is a world renowned genealogy website, and you now have access to it through your library! Come in and give it a try. Ancestry must be used in the Library, but we do have a dedicated Ancestry station, where you are guaranteed at least an hour of time to search, and longer if no one else is waiting for access. Just sign in and ask at the desk to use the Ancestry station. Ancestry is also available on all the other patron computers, but you will still be limited to half an hour of use a day.
FREE TOOLS FOR WISCONSIN RESIDENTS
Looking for information? You'll probably find it here - and for free!
Badgerlink gives Wisconsin residents access to databases that would normally charge for access - full text magazine and newspaper articles, and many other kinds of information. Great for homework!
With WISCAT, you can see the collections of most of the libraries in Wisconsin. Find something you want to borrow? Fill out a form at the library front desk, and we will request it for you.
AskAway is a 24/7 online reference service provided by real librarians from across the state. Got a question? Ask away!A big THANK YOU!
to everyone who helped with the party
Library Board members - Mary Ann Stemper, Linda Munson, Dan Davis, Gary Koch
Friends of the Library - Ted Finn, Terri Connell, and the Friends as a whole for helping fund the party
The band, Harold Waterman and friends under the name "Hail Mary"
The Jaycees for the loan of the canopy, most especially Tarah Oldenburg, who helped muscle it in and out of our stairwell and into vehicles!
Rockweiler's, for the loan of the freezer
The Curious Cup for the ice cream and cones
My daughter, Chelsea Barnard, who took being "volunteered" with great good humor (as usual) and Zebby Zimple, who was a great help with serving and distributing the children’s goody bags.
And an additional thank you to all the lovely people who made donations to the Library that day!

What is your Library worth to you?
The smartest card is your library card...

We know that libraries are valuable to the community and to individuals in principle - but can we assign an actual dollar value to the materials and services the library provides for YOU? You bet we can! This calculator was developed by the Maine State Library - give it a try, and find out how much being a regular library user can save you and your family.
What would YOU like to see?
