The Great Artesian Well [37 IV-7] was created by Mary Ann Stemper to celebrate the library's 100th birthday. Three hundred paper copies were given to the public in the summer of 2012 thanks to the Friends of the Library. To observe the 50th birthday of the current building, Mary Ann has given e-book copy to the library. It joins the walking tour of downtown Up One Side and Down the Other, which has been available on this site since last spring.

Wachute Memorial Library on Wacouta Avenue honors an important institution on the historic artesian well site and the Wachute family that donated the library. In 2012, the library celebrated its 100th birthday.
